Horrifying dashcam footage shows moments before A36 Porsche crash which killed pregnant mum

Horrifying dashcam footage has captured a Porsche overtaking drivers in the moments before a fatal crash which killed a heavily pregnant mum last year.

Lorry driver Paul Cloak recorded the footage on the A36 in December last year, and it was provided ahead of the inquest into Anna Kirsopp-Lewis' death.

The 34-year-old teacher at Frome College was unlawfully killed, senior coroner for Wiltshire and Swindon David Ridley concluded yesterday (October 24).

The footage shows Bath businessman Ian Barton driving at high speed at Black Dog Hill, Warminster, on December 18 last year.

He then crashed into the back on Anna's car, killing her instantly, Somerset Live reports.

Mr Barton died at Southmead Hospital five days later.

And Anna's baby, due to be named Oscar, also did not survive.

Speaking at the inquest, Mr Ridley said: "The manner in which he drove was appalling... [and] can only be described as aggressive, audacious and abhorrent."

'Anna made us full of joy'

Mrs Kirsopp-Lewis' widower, Christopher Lewis, read out an emotional tribute to his wife at the inquest.

He said: "Anna made us full of joy. She was a devoted mother and loving wife. Anna knew the power of kindness, making a difference to the lives of those in her career.

"Anna was my wife, my best friend and my future.

"She was kind and compassionate. She inspired me as she did others. Anna always wanted a family. She loved being a mother.

"Henry (the couple's son) was the centre of Anna's life. Henry was everything to Anna. Henry was so very excited for his imminent brother. Our lives are empty without Anna. Henry will live a life without his mother and brother."
