'Hope you go bald' - Strictly's Dan Walker reveals messages from trolls as he avoids another dance-off

Strictly Come Dancing's Dan Walker has survived yet another dreaded dance-off, and some fans are not happy.

Tilly Ramsay became the ninth celebrity to be booted off at the weekend after facing CBBC presenter Rhys Stephenson in the bottom two.

Dan Walker and his professional partner Nadiya Bychkova, who danced a Rumba, have never been in the dance-off despite often being near the bottom of the leaderboard.

Some fans brand the show a "fix" when he was awarded a 9 for what they described as a "wooden" dance on Saturday night.

And now, the BBC Breakfast presenter has revealed some of the other critical messages he has been sent on social media.

They include:

  • It's embarrassing you are still in it
  • If Tilly goes out I'm suing you and you s**t dancing
  • Hate you so much
  • Hope you mess up in your next dance and fall and lose
  • Hope you go bald
  • Hope you lose

He also revealed though that he does get thousands of "positive messages" from fans.

Writing on Twitter on Monday, he shared some, saying: "Thanks again for all the lovely messages about Strictly. We’re delighted that so many are enjoying watching an awkward dad getting taught by a double world-champion

"I’ve attached just 3 of the 1000s of positive messages from the weekend but also my favourite angry one."

One said: "My husband and I voted for you Dan. We are big fans since day one of Strictly. We think you are amazing and your personality is needed in Strictly and your determination is inspiring. Keep dancing and you can count on our votes every week. Show this to Nadiya."

Another said: "Hello Dan! I'm not sure if you will see this, but wanted to tell you how inspiring you are. Your positive attitude every week on the show brings such an amazing energy and encourages others to be brave and have fun. I believe you embody what strictly should be about, enjoying learning to dance and going outside your comfort zone. You deserve to be in the quarter finals. You and Nadiya are just amazing."
