Honey Boo Boo hits out at sister as family told they need counselling in explosive clip

Honey Boo Boo has hit out at her sister as her family are told they need counselling in the new episode teaser for Mama June: Family Crisis.

Honey, whose real name is Alana Thompson, is known for starring in TLC's Toddlers and Tiaras as a young tot.

And the 17 year old has remained in the public eye since she was a toddler - now starring in new reality shows with her famous family.

And in a new trailer for the next installment from the series, Honey Boo Boo can be seen hitting out at her sister Lauryn "Pumpkin" Efird in an explosive argument.

"You're not even my mama for real," Honey Boo Boo fumes at her big sister before storming out of the kitchen.

Moments later in the clip, it's announced that Dr. Ish, Mama June's therapist, wants them to have a "therapy weekend" as a family with Mama June.

This comes as the family's matriarch tries to reconcile with her family after she and former boyfriend Geno Doak were arrested on drug possession charges in 2019.

In a clip from the series, Mama June can be seen sitting at a desk with her tablet in front of her.

Chatting to Dr. Ish, the skilled therapist spoke about Mama June's daughters when he said: "Those young women, have grown up right before your eyes and they're about ready to make some grown-up decisions now.

"Cutting you out of their lives might be one of those decisions. If that's the truth, if that's where they are, you're going to have to accept that."

The famous mama then said: "To be honest, I can never really honestly make up for what I've done. I mean this is the truth - I can never make up for what I've done in the past."

She then added that what she has done in the past "doesn't define" who she is today, with her then urging: "I want the girls to be part of my present, I want the girls to be part of my future."

Dr. Ish then asked June: "Those young women deserve a better mom. Are you ready to be that?"

Mama June then said that she will strive to be "the best person that I can be for them and for myself".

New episodes of Mama June: Family Crisis air Fridays at 9pm on WeTV.
