Honest Burgers has announced the return of its best-selling Teriyaki Burger specials. Honest Burgers will serve-up two limited edition Teriyaki specials featuring Fable pulled shiitake mushrooms.
The Vegan Teriyaki Special is a plant-based burger patty covered in Fable’s pulled shiitake mushrooms and a signature teriyaki sauce topped with Applewood Vegan cheese, grilled peppers, spring onions, lettuce and a homemade Japanese-inspired mayo.
Its Teriyaki Beef Special features a layer of pulled shiitake mushrooms, teriyaki sauce, double American cheese, as well as the grilled peppers, spring onions, umami mayo and lettuce.
Each Teriyaki Burger special comes with Honest’s homemade vegan umami mayo, made with garlic, dijon mustard, gochujang, rice wine vinegar and black pepper
Adam Layton, Honest Burgers Head of Collaboration, said: “Fable is a delicious, meaty and clean label protein made from shiitake mushrooms. We’ve doubled down on the umami with a homemade teriyaki sauce and umami-rich mayo.”
The Teriyaki Burgers will be available at all 43 Honest Burgers’ restaurants, from January 3 to January 31.
