Honda Teases Sweet New Naked Motorcycle Concept at Suzuka 8 Hours Weekend

Earlier this year, we had the shocking revelation that the Honda CB 1000 F Concept was actually designed by Suzuki ... well, to be totally precise, by a designer from Moto Honda da Amazonia Ltda (Brazil) named Yuha Suzuki.

It's been a few months since the wraps came off the CB 1000 F Concept, so you could of course be forgiven for having it not be top of mind. But the beginning of August 2025 also marks the Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race weekend, which is held each year at the legendary Suzuka Circuit. And in 2025, Honda is planning more than just its first unleashing of a Pokemon-based motorcycle run on the world.

If you've guessed that the CB 1000 F Concept is going to take to the grounds for a show run, you're partly correct. But in reality, it'll be more than just that bike, because Honda has an entire arsenal of CB bikes lined up to wow the assembled crowds.

On August 2, 2025, Honda will take its classic RCB1000 racer, the CB 1000 F Concept, and the CB 1000 F Concept Moriwaki Engineering out on show runs for everyone on site to see. It's not clear yet if the company plans to release videos of any or all of these bikes running after the fact, so those of us who aren't there in person can at least appreciate it from afar.

What's that you're saying, you were hoping for even more CB joy in your life? Say no more.

On top of all of this, Honda is also making the 2025 Suzuka 8 Hours event the place where it will pull the wraps off the CB 1000 F SE concept for the first time. It's released a couple of teaser images that clearly indicate the SE will have a nice little headlight cowl, too.

Are you making heart-eyes at your screen right now, just seeing these shadowy little silhouettes? Don't worry; I am, too, as this is extremely up my street. It's not clear at this point what kind of paint and graphics we can expect the SE concept to have, or if it will retain the sleek blue and silver colorway found on the standard CB 1000 F Concept.

But I'm not worried about it. Honda's calculations are usually pretty bang on with special show bikes like these, so I'm excited to see what it looks like. Are you?

As to future availability, the fact that Honda is sticking with consistent little tidbits surrounding the CB 1000 F points to that being pretty likely. Unfortunately, we can't say when or if that availability will exist outside of Japan (or in the US), but as always, we live in hope. For what it's worth, I'm also hoping that if Honda posts video of its CB Special Run at Suzuka, it includes the engine sounds and doesn't drown them out with music that's cranked too high. But maybe that's just me.

On looks alone, which of these CBs is your favorite and why? Let me know in the comments.
