Martin Roberts has shared his heartbreak after his beloved dog died at the age of 14.
The Homes Under the Hammer host, 57, took to his Twitter account on Wednesday morning to share the sad news that his Golden Retriever Mylo had been put to sleep.
He revealed that Mylo had recently suffered two strokes and it was on the vet's advice that they let him go.
Sharing a picture of the handsome pooch, Martin paid tribute to his "faithful friend" Mylo as he admitted that he was feeling "heartbroken".
"Such an unbearably sad day," a devastated Martin captioned the snap.
"Mylo, my 14 year old Golden Retriever has recently suffered two strokes, and on the advice of the vet he's just been put to sleep.
"If you've ever lost a pet you'll know how I feel right now. Heartbroken.
"Rest in peace my faithful friend."
The adorable picture showed Mylo in happy times playing in the sand on the beach.
Martin's followers sent him their condolences in the replies to the tweet.
One commented: "So she to hear this, Martin. The right end decision has been made in Mylo's best interests, but that doesn't make it any less heartbreaking for you and your family."
"It's very sad losing a pet we love. Sorry to hear about your dog," another posted.
A third said: "So sorry for your loss. It breaks your heart to lose a beloved pet. You gave him a good life and the last good thing you can is give them a peaceful end."
"Oh Martin it's unbelievably heartbreaking. I'm so sorry," another said.
