HOMES in a residential street in Glasgow have been evacuated amid a “chemical incident”.
Emergency services are in attendance at a property on Lenzie Terrace in the city after being alerted to a chemical incident at around 3.30pm on Sunday.
Nearby properties have been evacuated as a precaution, and the public has been asked to avoid the area, police said.
It is understood that officers have sealed off the area with the incident ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Emergency services are in attendance at a chemical incident at a property on Lenzie Terrace in Glasgow, which was reported around 3.30pm on Sunday, 31 May, 2026.
"Nearby properties have been evacuated as a precaution, and the public is asked to avoid the area.
"Anyone who requires assistance can approach officers at the scene or call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1991 of 31 May, 2026."
