A happy Home Bargains customer delighted with their new purchase took a picture of the new furnishing and the social media team of the store shared it to their Facebook page.
Yet the public seemed more interested in what was placed next to the Jeff Banks rattan lamp.
That’s right, the brew to the left of the lamp came under heavy scrutiny, and one keyboard warrior even stated the person who made the tea ‘should be in prison’.
All things considered, the cuppa looks insipid, but maybe that is how the original poster likes their tea.
Home Bargains shared the photo which was taken by by the self-proclaimed "cleaning addict" Leanne.
Alongside the photo, the retailer wrote: "The type of Sunday set up we love to see - a brew and our gorgeous rattan lamp. Buy online now:
“Thanks 110renovation on Instagram for sharing!”
But alas the social media audience paid more attention to the tea than the lamp.
Some praised the £12.99 lamp, but comments like: “That tea needs life support" were written. Then a milder slating of another wrote: “That tea looks a bit weak”.
A third shopper stated: "That is not 'a brew'” and another chimed in and said: “Ewww throw another teabag in, needs some more strength”.
It goes on and on with another saying: "Whoever made that tea should be in prison”. Another boldly added: “Who made that tea? Arrest them!”.
