Hollywood star Lindsay Lohan is pregnant with her first child and she announced the news in the sweetest way

Hollywood A-lister Lindsay Lohan has announced she's expecting her first child with a sweet Instagram post. The 36-year-old actress, who shot to fame as a child star in the 1998 Disney film The Parent Trap followed by Freaky Friday and Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, shared the joyous news with her 12.4million followers.

Lindsay, whose status as a teen idol was sealed by the comedy film Mean Girls in 2004, posted an adorable picture of a white baby babygrow with the words "coming soon ..." The congratulations came flooding in as she said: "We are blessed and excited!"

Lindsay, the star of the romantic Netflix festive film Falling For Christmas, announced her engagement to financier Bader Shammas in November 2021 after three years of dating and the couple married last year. "My love. My life. My family. My future. @bader.shammas #love 11.11.21," she said as she announced their engagement.

In July she wrote about her love: "I am the luckiest woman in the world. You found me and knew that I wanted to find happiness and grace, all at the same time. I am stunned that you are my husband. My life and my everything. Every woman should feel like this everyday."

Her Mean Girls co-star Amanda Seyfried messaged: "This is WONDERFUL NEWS!!" chuuzus commented: "Imagine your mother being the woman that gave us mean girls, freaky friday, the parent trap and confessions of a teenage drama queen… iconic." And thehashtagassistant said: "Congrats LL and Bader!! So excited for you."

In 2012 Lindsay was linked with Manchester singer Max George from the boyband The Wanted. In 2016 she took to social media as the EU referendum results came in from across the country.

She was shocked as it was announced that 54 per cent of Bury’s voters had backed the Brexit campaign and tweeted: “#bury what's wrong with you manchester??????”
