Hollyoaks actress Steph Davis has revealed a new tattoo as she covered up an existing ink with a 'meaningful' message.
The 26-year-old posted a snap of the new artwork on her thigh on her official Twitter and Instagram.
What was once a large rose, there is now a modern design of a woman reading a book crying, while holding a glass of wine against a background of stairs and cloud shapes.
The tattoo reads: "With every drop I drink my tears refilled the glass.
"Staring into the abyss I died and rose again."
Alongside the image, the mum-of-one wrote: "Fresh meaningful ink and cover up."
It has been no secret that Steph has struggled in the past with alcohol. After finding fame on Andrew Lloyd Webber's BBC talent show Over Thesteph davi Rainbow in 2010, the Prescot- born star landed the role of Sinead O'Connor in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks.
But her contract was terminated in 2015 because she was deemed 'unfit to work'.
She then appeared on Celebrity Big Brother where she met Irish model Jeremy McConnell, who she went on to have her first child, Caben Albi, with.
Their turbulent relationship resulted in a dark time for Steph but since their permanent spilt she appears to have come full circle and is back on Hollyoaks.
Earlier this year she was nominated for a series of 'best actress' awards for her character on the show, winning the gong at the Soap Awards last month.
Fans rushed to tell Steph how much they loved the new tattoo, many calling it "beautiful".
Instagram user, richards.stacie said: "I absolutely love this."
Another, stacey_bullock said: "Wow - that’s lovely!"
