Hollyoaks star teases murdered George Kiss could have more than one killer

Hollyoaks actor Callum Kerr has teased what lies ahead after the shocking murder of his character PC George Kiss.

The police officer had finally been exposed for his horrific abuse towards fiancé John Paul McQueen, after months of manipulation and violence.

Earlier this year, John Paul was arrested and accused of harming George over a genuine accident, while fans knew the heartbreaking truth that John Paul was the victim.

After months of coercive control turned to violence, it was Sally St Claire who noticed something was going on with her son and his partner George.

But It wasn't until this week that things took a huge turn, with George faking his death just to see how his partner would react, before dealing him another painful beating.

In Thursday's E4 episode, there was a major twist just as John Paul found the courage to reveal his wounds to his family.

Someone approached George outside with him knowing their identity, as he asked them "what they wanted now" before an attack happened off screen.

As the camera panned back, George was seen lifeless on the ground with the Channel 4 soap confirming he was dead in a new clip.

Speaking about his dramatic exit from the soap, George actor Callum teased what was ahead with the new storyline.

He even teased there might not be just one mystery culprit, and that more than one character might have done it - while confessing it's all top secret.

Callum said: "George is found dead, but we don’t know who’s done it yet, and he has accumulated quite a lot of enemies during his time in the village.

"There’s a chance it could be one of many people, but not just that, it could be more than one person, it might be several... Whatever the case, or whoever it is, its going to be a shock.

"It’ll be a fun storyline leading up to it, and trying to work out who did it."

On leaving his character behind, he went on: "Any time a character has layers it makes my job easier because there is more to work with, and obviously George had so many different sides to him, I could really play with each one and sometimes I could interweave them so he became quite complex.

"I think it was my first time playing a bad guy, and I think it was my favourite role to play so far, because it was so different and you have more to play with when you’re playing the bad guy.

"When you’re bad, there’s usually more of a story behind that."

Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6:30pm on Channel 4, with the next episode at 7pm on E4.
