Real life Hollyoaks couple Daisy Wood-Davis and Luke Jerdy have welcomed their first child with the most touching announcement.
Daisy, 30, marked the arrival of their baby with a sweet Instagram post that comprised of sweet photos and cute caption.
The couple welcomed their baby boy, named Asa, on Tuesday morning (September 28), but announced the news a few days after.
The new mum revealed that their baby son had been born slightly earlier than his due date in October.
Daisy played Kim Butterfield on Channel 4's Hollyoaks until 2018, met her fiancé Luke who starred in the soap as Jesse Donovan.
Posting a series of sweet snaps on Instagram, the 30-year-old mum and actress penned a heartfelt caption to commemorate the birth of her son.
She penned: "On Tuesday morning, our world was changed forever. @lukjerdy & I are sooooo proud to announce that we have a beautiful baby boy. Asa, you have changed everything."
She then went on to explain what the photos were about: "Pic 2: The note my Dad wrote in the book he bought my Mum when she was pregnant with me, I was very close to being called Asa myself!
"Pic 3: Grandad had this on the window of his shop within hours of Asa being born."
Within a matter of hours, the comments section was overflowing with warm wishes for the trio.
Singer Pixie Lott said: "Asa is so perfect and special so, so, so happy for you both!!!!! Eeeeeee so much love."
Someone else penned: "CONGRATS YOU BEAUTIFUL PAIR."
While another said: "Perfect boy, your so loved Asa! Congratulations mummy and daddy."
New dad Luke also shared a series of snaps with an accompanying caption where he wrote a touching tribute to his Grandad.
He said: "Asa Sean Wood-Mehdizadeh was born on Tuesday 28th September at 9:50am - the same date as my Grandad, who died in the same month Asa was conceived."
He continued: "The song playing on our speaker when he was born was 'Back to Life' by Soul II Soul, which was completely random as Spotify had started to shuffle songs similar to last played.
"Asa means 'healer' in Hebrew and I feel like he has already brought so much healing to me and my family."
