Holly Willoughby suffers on-air accident live on This Morning

Holly Willoughby was dragged to the floor by a dog on This Morning.

The 40-year-old was holding onto Ned as she and Phillip Schofield presented a segment.

The pair were talking about the UK's first TV channel for dogs.

DogTV, which launches later today, is a 24-hour seven-days a week channel shown to decrease separation anxiety, loneliness and stress.

The programme also teaches owners how to look after their furry friends.

Bringing several dogs into the This Morning studio, Holly's dog Ned got a bit too excited and decided to go for a wander.

However, he dragged Holly along with him, forcing her off the sofa and onto the floor.

Holly said : "Ned, Ned, come back."

But as she managed to sit up and regain some composure, Ned attempted to sprint off-set again.

As Holly was once again thrust to the floor, Phillip burst into laughter.

Fans at home were also in hysterics, with one tweeting: "Sorry Holly but this was phenomenal. Ned just wanted to go for a W or go see his mum."

Krishna said: "Awww Ned is so cute lol."

Roisin tweeted: "Haha", followed by a cry-laughter emoji.

And Charlie wrote: "Ned is adorable! He wants to explore the studio."
