Holly Willoughby shares delight at son's role in school nativity in rare family update

Holly Willoughby has revealed a rare glimpse into her family life, as she shared her excitement about her son’s Christmas play.

The 41-year-old presenter opened up about her son, Chester’s starring role in his school play on This Morning with her co-host Phillip Schofield.

After Matilda the Musical’s performed live on the ITV show, Phil suggested Holly should show the clip to Chester, ahead of his Christmas show to give him some inspiration.

“You are going to play that back to your Chester this evening, as he’s got his part coming up,” Phil said.

“Yes, tomorrow, Holly replied, before she explained: “Probably lots of you are going to Nativity’s or school end of term Christmas plays, Chester has got his tomorrow and he is Santa.”

She squealed with excitement as Holly did her best Will Ferrell impression from the Christmas Movie Elf and added: “He’s Santa! Which is quite exciting!”

Phil revealed that the proud mother of three had messaged her about the exciting news, he said: “She what’s App-ed me yesterday afternoon saying Chester is Santa – yay!”

“There’s been lots of pillows stuffed down everywhere,” she said about Chester’s Santa outfit.

The show took a chaotic turn after this sweet musical number and news, as Miriam Margoyles swore live on air when describing a crew member’s skirt.

The 81-year-old left the co-hosts in shock and laughter as she named the woman who she thought had a skirt that was “too short.”

Phil admitted she even messaged him about the exciting news, as his Christmas show is on tomorrow (ITV)

She declared: “One of the ladies who works here, she's just wearing a p**** pelmet… It's far too short!"

Holly and Phil looked horrified, before Miriam added: "She's a lovely girl. Ella."

Phil turned to look at the crew member, before he urged the cameras not to turn round and embarrass her further, as Ella fell about laughing.

“Do not point the camera at Ella, do not point a camera at Ella, you look gorgeous,” Phil said, as the duo tried to recover from the shock.
