Holly Willoughby reassures ITV This Morning viewers she was sober after accident during final episode of Celebrity Juice

Holly Willoughby moved to reassure ITV This Morning viewers that she was sober after she had a fall during the final ever episode of Celebrity Juice.

Former team captains Holly and Fearne Cotton made a special appearance for the last episode of the popular ITV panel show, hosted by Keith Lemon. The trio were joined by current team captains Laura Whitmore and Emily Atack as well as Maya Jama, Big Narstie, Chris Ramsey, Will Mellor and Joey Essex.

But it was Holly's fall at the end of the show, which aired on Thursday night (December 9), that had people talking. The This Morning host, who appeared on Celebrity Juice since its first episode in 2008 up until 2020, reassured fans that she wasn't drunk when the accident took place.

Discussing the moment on This Morning on Friday (December 9), Holly and fellow presenter Phillip Schofield watched back a clip of Holly's tumble. She was seen falling down the studio stairs while taking part in the final challenge of the show.

Holly, 41, can be seen wrestling for a piece of cardboard which she needs to stick to a desk but ends up slipping and falling over instead. In the clip, as she wrestles for the piece of carboard she ends up falling on her back on the stairs and narrowly avoids falling into the lap of an audience member.

As Holly falls, Emily Atack and Will Mellor look concerned - but Holly is fine and carries on with the game.

Addressing the incident on This Morning, Holly told viewers: "The stairs were quite steep and everybody had a little panic as you could see. But weirdly, I was fine! And I hadn't had a drink, either!"

Phil added: "You risked broken bones at Christmas, missing the last shows here, everything because you wouldn't let go of a bit of cardboard!" Holly responded: "But do you know what? It was the final ever episode, we were never going to win ever again. So it felt important somehow..."

She continued: "That show was a big part of my life for 14 years. Lovely Keith Lemon and Fearne and then the girls that came in and took over."

She then spoke of the emotional last shot of the programme. Holly explained: "There was a moment for Keith, right at the end... He always wore a bandage and his last shot of the night, he undid the bandage and when he held it up, underneath it quite simply said 'fanks.'"
