Holly Willoughby posts cryptic message ahead of This Morning return

This Morning host and former colleague of Phillip Schofield, Holly Willougby is due to return to the ITV morning show this week for the first time since the 61-year-old presenter left the corporation after admitting an affair with a younger man.

Now, ahead of tomorrow's, Monday, June 5, return Holly has posted on her social media for the first time in days. On her lifestyle brand, WYLDE MOON's page, Holly shared a post of the recent strawberry moon and urged her followers to "maintain a positive perspective".

The caption read: “This Full ‘Strawberry’ Moon in Sagittarius brings with it a zest for life.

“The guiding influence of this fire sign combined with Jupiter encourages you to maintain a positive perspective and to tune into your finest qualities. Inspire. Renew Believe.”

It comes after Holly revealed she had been "lied to" by her former co-host after he came clean about his affair.

Writing on Instagram, Holly said: "It has taken time to process yesterday's news. When reports of this relationship first surfaced, I asked Phil directly if this was true and was told it was not.

Schofield, who has now completely left ITV, has admitted he'd had an affair with a younger man who he met on a school visit and later started work on This Morning, read his account behind this turn of events, here.

When he admitted the affair he'd said it was 'unwise but not illegal', he has since spoken to the BBC's Amol Rajan about where he is now - here are the main takeaways from that interview. Phillip also confirmed in that chat that he and Holly have not been in contact since he text her at the height of the controversy.

Holly, who has been on holidays in Portugal, will now return to This Morning, from 10am ITV1, with Josie Gibson alongside her Monday and Tuesday, Craig Doyle is expected to present alongside Holly on Wednesday and Thursday while Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary will take over to host on Friday as unusual. It's not known who will take over the as the main co-presenter.
