Holly Willoughby in hot water with ITV Dancing on Ice fans as she's dubbed 'Holly-Wood' in dazzling snap

Holly Willoughby has found herself in hot water with some Dancing on Ice fans after sharing a dazzling snap. The presenter was back at the helm of the ITV skating competition on Sunday night (February 6) alongside her co-host Phillip Schofield as the remaining couples took to the ice.

It was dance week at the rink with the celebrities and their professional partners having to give their best dance-theme routines from the Paso Doble to the Samba. And there was even a surprise cameo appearance during comedian Darren Harriott and Tippy Packard’s swing-inspired skate to the hit Making Your Mind Up by Bucks Fizz.

The 34-year-old stripped off his yellow trousers to show golden pants underneath during the routine, which earned him 26.5, before Cheryl Baker appeared with fellow members of The Fizz - spin-off from original Bucks Fizz group, and features Cheryl, Mike Nolan and Jay Aston - on the ice.

But it was Love Island winner Ekin-Su Culculoglu who became the third celebrity to be eliminated from Dancing On Ice. The reality TV star, 28, received the fewest votes and appeared in the dreaded dance-off against actress Patsy Palmer in a bid to make it through to next week’s icons-themed show.

Skating for survival, a visibly upset Ekin-Sy and her partner Brendyn Hatfield danced to Ariana Grande’s No Tears Left To Cry in their second skate-off during their time on the ITV show. However, judge Jayne Torvill chose to save Palmer who had a “cleaner performance”, alongside Oti Mabuse and Ashley Banjo – who said both women should be proud of their skating performances.

Ekin-Su, who revealed she had "pulled a muscle on my left leg" practising the routine before the actual performance, follows Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton and ex-footballer John Fashanu who previously exited the show. She said: “You put so much time … all the other work commitments I had, this was my priority, and I really gave everything to it.

"I love it, I fell in love with the ice.." Phillip even altered the show's format as he urged Ekin-Su to give him and Holly a hug off the ice. He said: "Come over here. Come on. We don't normally do this but you need to have a hug." He then said: "I think this is probably the most emotional skate-off we’ve ever had. Please be really proud of what you did. Have a big lap of honour."

But taking to Instagram after the show, Holly appeared to drop a clanger in the eyes of some fans of Dancing on Ice as she posed up a storm backstage. The 41-year-old looked sensational in a glittering floor-length gown as she styled her trademark blonde locks in tousled waves.

In the black and white image, Holly could be seen grinning away from the camera as she perched on a stool with her silver dress flowing down to the floor. "Thank you for all the dress love… she was a special one for sure! Great night down at the rink…" she wrote to her millions of followers.

She then added: "Sad to say goodbye to @ekinsuofficial tonight… see you next week!!!" and some felt the parting words of her caption were a 'spoiler'. @geordiearmani said: "So many spoilers! Not everyone watches these shows live." @julieo1888 replied: "I hadn’t watched yet. That’s why I have ITV X!" @helengrobson wrote: "Ah man … no need to watch it now #spoiler." @jphfashions added: "Oh @hollywilloughby I'm watching on record and now know who got kicked out."

Others, however, were quick to flood Holly with compliments. TV and radio star Kate Thornton commented: "Holly-wood." Skin and beauty expert Nilam Holmes echoed: "Holly Wood Baby." @nursiejayne shared: "Beautiful dress definitely old Hollywood glamour." @cathcardus wrote: "Pure Hollywood, you looked stunning as always." @debmcd11 added: "The best gown you’ve ever worn, knockout."
