Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield decided to bring the pub to the This Morning studio as they created their very own makeshift watering hole.
The This Morning hosts, famous for their after-party antics particularly following the National Television Awards, interviewed a special guest (via videolink, of course) in their new setting.
Serving cocktails such as the Muschofe Mule (get it, everyone?) and decked out with drinks, snacks and a jukebox, the pair settled down in the This Morning Arms to have a few drinks.
The hastily knocked-up pub was created in honour of their next guest on the morning programme, comedian Jimmy Carr.
The Big Fat Quiz of the Year host has spent his time in lockdown devising a quiz that is broadcast live every night on YouTube at 6pm, with the answers shared at 8pm.
Speaking about the pandemic, Carr, 47, said: “We see a lot of people talking about being kind to others during coronavirus, but what about being kind to ourselves? The idea of saying you’re going to get a six-pack, get fit and learn Spanish is all a bit New Year’s Resolutions. I think I’m going to take it easier.
“The quiz is basically to keep me sane through this thing, give me something to do. It’s a weird thing because sometimes you feel alright and you’re kind of enjoying the time off, and then sometimes you are incredibly anxious. So I think a five minute quiz, that’s enough.”
Carr is not the only famous making an effort to entertain the nation while we remain indoors.
