Earlier this month, AirBnB said more UK holidaymakers were “embracing spontaneous getaways close to home” and choosing “quieter, affordable places”.
Meanwhile, tourism bosses in Devon and Cornwall have sounded a note of optimism. saying that this year bookings had been strong.
