A shocked holidaymaker was welcomed home from his six-week vacation by a unpleasant note left on his doorstep from a disgruntled neighbour. The small, typed-out note criticised the man for his disregard towards the unkempt garden, and also claimed that the appearance of the messy land was discrediting the well maintained houses surrounding it.
The note, which was posted on Reddit, has been shared on the Facebook page of a local Australian news publication and has gone viral after it grabbed the attention of thousands of people, the Mirror reports. It reads: “Your garden is a disgrace! You should be ashamed. The previous owners kept it immaculate.”
The furious neighbour went on to comment how the person's front garden ''devalues the property'' as well as creating a negative impression of the value of the other properties in the street. An image of the note was posted along with the caption: “Getting back from a six-week holiday to find cute love letters”.

The short letter went viral after it was shared with a local Facebook page in Mandurah, Western Australia, called The Bell Tower Times, and Facebook users have left over 2,300 comments regarding the situation.
“How did they know their neighbour wasn’t in hospital or something, what?? How rude,” one person wrote. Another said the author of the letter “think they’re so tough” but claimed they must have typed it out so they couldn’t be identified by their handwriting.
“I read this like a haiku for some reason,” a third person joked. Another person said: “Out of spite I'm never doing it again, thank you.” Another woman agreed with this sentiment, claiming that she “wouldn’t tidy up in a hurry” if she received the same note.
