Hims & Hers CEO Clarifies Support For Anti-Israel Protesters

Anti-Israel rally in Tehran

Hims & Hers founder and CEO Andrew Dudum addressed recent controversy surrounding his comments regarding anti-Israel protests on college campuses. Dudum clarified that his previous remarks were misconstrued by some individuals, leading to a dip in the company's stock.

On a platform called X, Dudum emphasized that he does not endorse violence, antisemitism, or intimidation. He expressed disappointment in the divisive nature of current times and sought to set the record straight.

Dudum stated, 'I, in no way condone nor support acts or threats of violence, antisemitism, or intimidation and there is absolutely no justification for violence on our campuses.' He underscored the importance of ensuring every student's safety and well-being without facing harm or discrimination.

Following his initial comments that appeared to support anti-Israel protesters, Dudum clarified that his intention was to advocate for peaceful demonstrations and not to incite violence or bigotry. He expressed regret that his stance on peaceful protest had been misinterpreted by some as promoting negative behaviors.

Notably, Dudum had previously mentioned that he believed in prioritizing moral courage over a college degree and encouraged protesters to continue their efforts against the perceived genocide of the Palestinian people and for university divestment from Israel. He assured demonstrators that their cause was making an impact and that there would be employment opportunities available to them, irrespective of any disciplinary actions by their universities.

As a Palestinian-American, Dudum also shared a link for protesters to apply for job positions at his company, which specializes in telehealth services and prescription medication for various health issues.
