1455 DJOKOVIC STORMS INTO SEMI-FINALS

Novak Djokovic returned to the Roland Garros semi-finals for the first time since 2016 with a 7-5 6-2 6-2 win over Alexander Zverev. The Serb has won 26 consecutive Grand Slam matches since falling to Marco Cecchinato in the quarters in Paris last year.

1431 THIEM BLASTS PAST KHACHANOV

Austrian fourth seed Dominic Thiem progressed to a fourth consecutive semi-final at Roland Garros with a dominant 6-2 6-4 6-2 victory over Russia's Karen Khachanov.

1150 WOMEN'S SEMIS ON COURTS LENGLEN AND MATHIEU

Friday's women's semi-final match between Ashleigh Barty and Amanda Anisimova will be played on Court Suzanne Lenglen, while Johanna Konta will take on Marketa Vondrousova on Court Simonne Mathieu due to a packed schedule following Wednesday's washout.

The two men's semis, including Rafa Nadal's clash against Roger Federer, will be played on Court Philippe Chatrier.

1127 BARTY POWERS PAST KEYS

Ashleigh Barty beat Madison Keys 6-3 7-5 to reach a Grand Slam semi-final for the first time in her career and became the first Australian woman to do so since Samantha Stosur at Roland Garros in 2016.

1119 HOLDER HALEP STUNNED BY ANISIMOVA

American teenager Amanda Anisimova became the first player born in the 2000s to reach a Grand Slam semi-final by crushing defending Roland Garros champion Simona Halep 6-2 6-4.

She also became the youngest from her country to reach the last four at the French Open since Jennifer Capriati in 1990.

1017 PLAY UNDERWAY AT ROLAND GARROS

Quarter-final action began under a cloudy sky at Roland Garros with the temperature hovering around 16 degrees Celsius. Some rain has been predicted for later in the day.

Holder Simona Halep was up against American teenager Amanda Anisimova on Court Philippe Chatrier while Madison Keys and Ashleigh Barty began proceedings on Court Suzanne Lenglen.
