Hibs predicted team v Livingston as Jack Ross to be without key forward for final pre-split clash

Jamie Murphy will sit out Hibernian’s trip to Livingston after failing to recover from the niggling issue that forced him miss the win at Ross County.

The 31-year-old started every game of the Easter Road side’s mini winning run in February but was hauled off shortly after the break in the home defeat to Motherwell.

He appeared from the bench in the loss at St Johnstone a week later, but was missing from the party that travelled to Dingwall last week after aggravating a slight injury in training.

Youngsters Steven Bradley and Sean Mackie are also set to miss the game in West Lothian with their own knocks.

Hibs could claim a club record 11th top flight away win of the season and virtually secure European football next year should they make it two wins from two at the Tony Macaroni Arena.

Both sides are assured of top six football heading into the end of season Premiership split after wins last weekend.

Predicted line up

Kevin Nisbet was rewarded for his return to goalscoring form last week with a maiden call up to the Scotland squad and could be in line for just a second start since January.

Christian Doidge failed to find the net for the 16th straight match, but will likely be utilised again as an effective aerial presence as part of a front three with Boyle.

It could mean Joe Newell dropping out of the midfield two to accommodate the more physical duo of Alex Gogic and Jackson Irvine, with Chris Cadden and Josh Doig poised to provide support from out wide.

Ross has said Ofir Marciano will retain his place in goal despite announcing his intention to leave the club, while Ryan Porteous could retain his place in the back line alongside Paul Hanlon and Paul McGinn.

Predicted team in full: Marciano, Porteous, Hanlon, McGinn, Doig, Cadden, Gogic, Irvine, Boyle, Nisbet, Doidge
