Hibs boss Lee Johnson claiming credit for Ryan Porteous goal as stopper tops off perfect week

Ryan Porteous admits netting for Hibs against Ross County topped off a perfect week as Lee Johnson's men made it three league wins on the trot.

Goals from the new Scotland cap and fans' favourite Martin Boyle secured a big three points in Dingwall to move Hibs just one point behind St Mirren in third spot. This is my bread and butter. We've got that quality in the final third with Boyler [Martin Boyle] and I thought the big man Myko [Mykola Kukharevych] was brilliant holding the ball up and linking it in the second half so I think it was a very good performance.

"The gaffer is taking credit for my goal. We were taking throw-ins short so I think we gave Ross County a taste of their own medicine as we launched it in ourselves. I flicked it on and the ball landed at my feet and I don't score many, especially with my left foot so I'll take it.

"We've been frustrated with the games we have lost this season and the manner in the performance and the goals we've conceded."

The Hibees will be aiming to make it four wins on the bounce when they host Motherwell at Easter Road this weekend. It's then back to back away games against Dundee United and Celtic.
