Heston Rovers Girls hold end of season awards night

Heston Rovers Girls end of year celebrations awards were held on Friday, December 3, at the Woodland House Hotel which also sponsored the evening.

More than 200 people attended two mini celebrations where the girls were treated to fantastic congratulations videos from professional players Kirsty Howat, originally from Dumfries and now with Rangers FC women, and also from Scotland and ex QoS striker Lyndon Dykes.

There are now more than 60 girls enjoying football at Heston.

Both U13 teams had their debut seasons in the Scottish Women’s Football Leagues this year, Heston Utd girls claiming fourth in the Christie Murray League and Heston Belles also finishing fourth in the Lee Alexander League.

Award winners were:

U15 top scorer: Olivia Gordon.

U15 player of year: Abbi Steel/Mary Kennedy/Francesca Seton.

U13 United top scorer: Charlie Kerr.

U13 United player of year: Macy McCulloch.

U13 Belles top scorer: Emme Anderson.

U13 Belles player of year: Hannah Simpson.

U11 Player of year: Grace Cairns/Ella Wilson.
