Since the Government introduced the new regulations which outline the new Level 5 restrictions, various retailers have taken a number of steps to ensure they are fully compliant with the new regulations.
Over the last few days, retailers have not been putting out items on sale that are deemed to be non-essential – e.g. Christmas decorations, casual clothing and toys.
In a statement, Lidl said: "We are also in the process of removing from sale any residual stock of previous non-essential promotions. We will continue to sell items that are classed as essential e.g. for the upkeep of residence and businesses, safety clothing, repair and maintenance of cars and bikes etc in our middle aisles."
When asked about the availability of their special buys in Irish stores, a member of Lidl's social media team said: "We hope to have them in before Christmas as soon as possible."
However, there are some items that will be available to purchase from Lidl's middle aisle this week and here they are;
