He wrote on Twitter that his “football journey will take place elsewhere.” He will enter free agency on Wednesday, and pursue his options, which are reportedly the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Los Angeles Chargers. Brady put his decision on Twitter to tell the Patriots organization he would not be returning.
The 42-year-old quarterback then took a moment to address his fans. Brady issued a statement of gratitude to New England’s supporters. Here’s what he wrote in the tweet, which had the caption: “LOVE YOU PATS NATION.”
Brady will always be the G.O.A.T. in New England.
