Here's one of the first things Love Island star Dami Hope plans to do when he jets into Dublin this weekend

Dami Hope’s family reckon that one of the first things he will do when he lands home is eat a home cooked meal by his mother.

The Love Island star is expected to fly into Dublin today.

And his little sister Femi reckons the 26-year-old – who came third on the series with Indiyah Polack – will look forward to eating one his favourite meals prepared for by his mother, Bukola, a carer in New Ross, Wexford.

Femi said: “I feel like the first he will do is see his friends and family. Then ask for food. Dami loves food. He loves his food so much so it’s a bit of a sticky one to pick what food he would eat. I feel like it will probably be our culture's food because he’s definitely not getting it in the villa. My mother cooks that food and that is what he is missing.”

Femi said the family and even Dami’s grandmother watched Love Island every night, while also revealing she was the first person who knew he was going into the villa.

“He told me first (he was going into the villa). Then he told my family a week after.

“My family wouldn’t really watch Love Island so it wasn’t a topic of discussion.

“Our mam was watching every night. She was nervous. Even my grandmother. The whole family was watching. They were just stressed out,” she said laughing.

“I was the first person he told and when he said it to me I was a bit like, obviously I can see Dami on Love Island, don’t get me wrong, but I was a bit like it didn’t feel real. Even when he was on it and he was isolating, it still didn’t feel real. I feel like it took us a long time to get used to it.

“Even now it doesn’t feel real at home. But we were excited and gas when he told us. It was a pity we couldn’t tell anybody,” she added.
