Here’s a quick look inside the Cowboys’ pre-draft meeting with Jalen Hurts on Zoom

The coronavirus is changing how NFL teams interview 2020 NFL Draft prospects. The Dallas Cowboys provided a look at how those meetings are evolving. Previously, teams would invite a player into their facility for a workout, medical evaluation and interview. Now, teams have resorted to Zoom meetings and FaceTime calls.

As the Cowboys met with Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Jalen Hurts recently, the team chose to share a quick look inside the meeting, with Hurts answering questions from owner Jerry Jones, among other Dallas staffers. We even get a short segment of Hurts’ answer. He seemed to be answering a question about one of his biggest fears (which, he explained, came down to letting down his teammates).

The NFL draft is set to take place from April 23 to 25 — as initially planned. However, it seems likely the event will occur without teams, players or fans in attendance. While the NFL wanted a grand event in Las Vegas (with a stage and even a boat), the draft is likely to have a low-key vibe.
