Here are all the best pictures from Bristol City Flag Day

It was a great day for Bristol City fans after the Robins claimed a 2-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers this afternoon, giving supporters a very happy ending to this year's Flag Day.

Prior to this afternoon's game hundreds of jubilant football fans took to the streets to celebrate their love for their team with a display of flags and flares for Bristol City Flag Day.

The day was a  colourful and noisy affair  with fans gathered inside and outside the Three Lions pub - the spiritual home of City’s most vociferous supporters.

Hundreds of supporters unfurled their flags, let off smoke grenades known by the fans as ‘pyros’, and sang City songs, before heading down to the match.

The event has been running for decades at the Three Lions - in fact one of the earliest attendees was Game of Thrones actor Maisie Williams , who braved Flag Day at the age of just three, back in 2002 - as revealed here.
