Henry Nowak’s family set for Downing Street meeting with Starmer

  • Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer is scheduled to meet the family of murdered student Henry Nowak in Downing Street on Thursday afternoon.
  • The meeting follows a political row over the police's treatment of Mr Nowak, who was fatally stabbed by Vickrum Digwa in December 2025.
  • Digwa, who has been sentenced to life imprisonment, claimed he was a victim of a racial attack, while Mr Nowak was handcuffed by police and ignored despite pleas that he could not breathe.
  • Billionaire Elon Musk has posted extensively on X about the police response, even offering to fund a private prosecution against Hampshire Constabulary.
  • Sir Keir criticised Musk for “trying to whip up division” in the UK, while Tory leader Kemi Badenoch also met the family, who urged against anger tearing communities apart.
