Help sent to aid refugees in Poland

Bathgate Churches Together for Ukraine teamed up with West Lothian Council to send a van loaded with goods for refugees who are sheltering in Poland after fleeing the war in their homeland.

St John’s Church in the town was the collection point for donations of nappies, new baby clothes and blankets.

Also collected was baby formula, First Aid equipment and toiletries.

All items were sorted and packed in boxes donated by Purdie of Blackburn.

Local councillor Harry Cartmill organised West Lothian Home Aid to Edinburgh/Ukraine Society’s depot.

Van driver Karol, himself Polish, was so pleased he wanted to take the van all the way to Poland.

The Bathgate donations have travelled on to Poland.
