Helen Skelton and Gethin Jones have reportedly “cooled” their rumoured romance.
The Morning Live co-hosts sparked dating speculation after getting close at the TV Baftas in May and were spotted “all over each other” on a spa date last month.
However, things have soured since rugby fan Jones headed to Australia to watch the British and Irish Lions with a group of male pals, sources claimed.
The 47-year-old has reportedly changed the location of his profile on celebrity dating app Raya to Australia and is “keen to meet other women”.
“Gethin is on the prowl Down Under which puts the nail in the coffin for his romance with Helen. He's there with pals but keen to meet other women,” an insider told MailOnline.
“There is no way Helen would stand for that if they were together and he has far too much respect for her to even go behind her back.”
The source added: “Despite having an increasingly close connection it's cooled down significantly which is gutting for fans who really wanted them to be together.”
The Standard has contacted representatives for Skelton and Jones for comment.
Last month, the BBC presenters were reportedly seen looking cosy while visiting a country club and spa near Jones’ home in Manchester.
Skelton, 41, and Jones surprised onlookers at the luxury venue with their flirty behaviour, according to The Sun.
“Gethin and Helen were all over each other. They are clearly super comfortable with each other and it wasn’t just like two friends hanging out,” an insider said.
“Helen was really laughing and smiling as they spent time together before heading off in the late afternoon.”
They are both based in Manchester during the week when they film Morning Live in Salford.
Jones relocated to Altrincham in south Manchester in 2022, while Skelton is based in Cumbria with her children Ernie, nine, Louis, eight, and Elsie, three, who she shares with her ex-husband Richie Myler.
In May, sources claimed Skelton and Jones’ “extremely close working relationship” had “blossomed into a deeper connection”.
They are both currently believed to be single.
Jones has been open about dating again since the end of his engagement to Katherine Jenkins in 2011, while Skelton separated from her ex-husband Richie Myler in 2022.
The pair have been sharing “flirty” comments back and forth on Instagram in recent months.
Jones shared a tribute to “superhuman” Skelton in March after they took part in a 24-hour live TV challenge for Comic Relief.
Alongside photos of the pair during the challenge, he wrote: “And a little appreciation post for this superwoman @helenskelton.
“Unbelievable physical and mental resilience... Loves a laugh but a deep thinker (I had to remind her a few times we were live on TV).
“It says a lot that you can spend 24 hours non-stop with someone and still call them an hour later for a debrief.”
Skelton repaid the favour, gushing: “My dear @gethincjones... You are some man.
“I don't publicly say often enough how much love and respect I have for you my friend because I assume it is well known, but for the record you're a legend and I am beyond grateful to have you by my side on the rink, the sofa and beyond.”
