Helen's winning tickets

Although HelenOnTheBus was rather critical of the Story of London festival, it was good to her in its own way. At one point last month the SoL's unreliable website announced a competition to win tickets the Past and Present concert at St Giles, Cripplegate on 24 June. Helen entered and won.

This triumph emboldened her to enter the competition set as part of Rhythm of London, Boris and Munira's second cultural offering of the summer. In this case the prize up for grabs was ten family tickets to tomorrow's British Music Experience at the 02 bubble - "a fantastic opportunity to visit the UK's first fully interactive journey through the incredible story of British popular music" - together with a Thames Clippers River Roamer pass.

What did it take to win? Not a great deal, it seems. Helen tells me she simply hit the email link provided, putting the initials BME in the subject line as she was told. She then received a reply saying that, once again, she'd scooped a second Boris culture project prize. Two conclusions may be drawn from Helen's hot streak. Either she has enjoyed the luck of the proverbial she-devil or not many people entered the two competitions. I wonder which it was.
