Hector Bellerin sends Instagram message to Arsenal wonderkid Gabriel Martinelli after training

With the Premier League season currently on a hiatus, teammates are having to communicate via phone messages and social media.

The Arsenal squad is no different.

As players can't travel to London Colney for training, they are maintaining fitness from the comfort of their own homes.

Arsenal behind the scenes on the impact on transfers this summer and the next great creative midfielder

Players have been handed dietary and physical plans, have held regular talks with head coach Mikel Arteta over his tactical plans and, as football.london revealed last week, the Gunners squad have been given GPS tracking devices that allow the club to monitor their work.

One Gunners star who is certainly enjoying the benefits of home training is teenager Gabriel Martinelli.

The 18-year-old took to social media over the weekend and posted an image of him doing work with some weights and the captions reads: "Stay healthy".

The Instagram post received a strong reaction from Arsenal fans as many noticed just how much Martinelli has baulked up since his £6m transfer from Ituano last summer.

Furthermore, Hector Bellerin was also impressed.

He replied to the post with a one-word message which reads: "Animal".

Judging by the image, Martinelli looks ready for a return to action.

And the latest developments would suggest he won't have too long to wait to add to his 10 goals across all competitions this season.

ESPN sources state that one footballing organisation in England has labelled June the 6th as a return date for competitive league action.

The EFL - Championship, League One and League Two - are working towards the date after resuming a pre-season of sorts in mid-May, which would depend totally on the spread of the coronavirus and any Government plans to extend or curb the current public lockdown.

Any return to action will see clubs played behind closed doors, without supporters.
