It was a night to remember for Hector Bellerin.
The Spaniard made his long-awaited return from injury after suffering a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament injury last season.
What followed was surgery and months of painful rehabilitation behind-the-scenes at London Colney as the defender looked to build up the strength in his knee.
Bellerin's injury brought a premature end to his campaign last season and meant that his pre-season schedule was based around working away in the shadows of the training ground.
That hard work has paid dividends for the full-back though, with Bellerin finally able to say that he's back in the thick of it.
The Spaniard played 62 minutes of Friday night's 2-2 draw with Wolves under-23s, and it's safe to say that the defender was delighted.
Taking to social media after the game, he said: "255 days and the day has finally come for me to get back out there. Can't describe how much I've missed this!"
Bellerin also sent a message to Arsenal's supporters through the club's media channels, saying: "Hey everyone, well after eight long months, I'm finally in the red and white; finally on the pitch.
"It's been a tough period, but we're back: we're back better than ever and yeah - can't wait to be at the Emirates. See ya!"
