Rankings don't always necessarily matter in boxing - but it never hurts to know where you stand.
With politics and money often having the final say in the sport, being the number one contender doesn't automatically guarantee you a title shot.
Just ask Dillian Whyte - the Brixton fighter has been the number one ranked fighter by the World Boxing Council since November 2017, with Deontay Wilder currently holding that particular belt.
Whyte is still waiting for a shot against Wilder however having seen Luis Ortiz and Tyson Fury given the nod ahead of him.
The Brixton fighter is now also the official mandatory challenger - after his victory over Oscar Rivas.
Nonetheless, there is plenty of interest in the rankings across boxing's four main organisations.
