England captain Heather Knight says her team are “desperate to put on a show” when they play live on the BBC for the first time since 1993 this Saturday.

England are looking to wrap up victory at the earliest opportunity in their five-match T20 series against the West Indies at Derby on Saturday afternoon. The game is live on BBC2 and begins at 1pm.

"We are desperate to put a show on,” said Knight. “I think this is the most visible bilateral series that we’ve ever had. To have that prime spot on the BBC is only going to increase the reach that we’re going to have.

“I think there has been a bigger buzz around training today even though it was about six degrees.”

England won both the first two matches by 47 runs but are yet to fully hit their straps, according to Knight.

“I think it’s been a good start,” she said. “We probably haven’t played our best cricket yet. We’re still winning well, still posting 150 plus despite not fulfilling our potential really as a batting line-up yet. But it’s great to get out there playing.”
