Hearts WAG Summer Harl has said she's 'devastated' that new rules in England mean she won't get to spend Christmas with her family.
Despite staying in Edinburgh, the 31-year-old is originally from Norwich, and had planned for her family to come and visit her in Scotland after she hadn't seen them in over three months.
Summer, who is currently expecting her first baby with Hearts keeper Craig Gordon, said while she was devastated, she would rather everyone was safe.
On her Instagram, she wrote: "Got this gorgeous card from my parents and loved it so much. My little family on a card, with an extra spot needed for next year.
"The weekend’s news was heartbreaking for everyone, especially families living apart. I was so desperate to see mine but I’d rather everyone was safe.
"Thinking of those who had plans, who are longing to see loved ones, who are poorly, isolating, alone or else... X ps. Still my fave card."
And on a post on her stories, she wrote: "Just about got my heart round this weekend's announcement. We were so excited to have my family here for Christmas. I haven't seen them in 3+ months and can count on one hand how many times I've seen them this year.
"A cruel end to a tough year. It's hard living so far away, especially at times like this. There will be so many situations far worse than mine, I know. Sending love to everyone."
In England, people have been told that if they are in tiers one to three they should not to travel into the new tier four areas and the cross all tiers people should now "stay local".
Back in October, Summer revealed that she and her partner were expecting a baby together.
The 31-year-old has kept fans up to date with her journey since her exciting reveal.
At the beginning of the year, Summer revealed she and her former Celtic star other half had been trying "for quite a long time" to have a baby.
Summer opened up about her desire to "grow her family" in a a blog about Mother's Day and spoke about celebrating mothers and motherly figures.
Summer is already a stepmum to Craig's two children from a previous relationship.
