Hearts team v Raith Rovers predicted as champions look to finish with a flourish

Just the one game to go for Hearts before they can wave goodbye to Scottish football’s second tier.

Robbie Neilson takes his team to Stark’s Park to play promotion hopefuls Raith Rovers for their final Championship fixture of the season.

There’s nothing really at stake for the champions aside from internal and personal targets, including a points tally total that was set at the start of the season,

For the hosts, a win guarantees them second spot at Dundee’s expense and crucially, means one less round of play-off games to negotiate if they want to join their opponents in the Premiership next season.

None of Hearts’ injured stars will return for this one so won’t be seen in maroon again until next season (or at all in some cases).

Jamie Walker, Stephen Kingsley and Aidy White all miss out once again so expect a similar line up to the one that blew Inverness away after just half an hour at Tynecastle last Saturday.

Youngster Finlay Pollock was handed his first team debut from the bench and could feature again if things are going Hearts’ way. Scott McGill could also be in line for some more minutes before the season ends.

It’s unlikely Christophe Berra will get a send off against the club he is joining next season after not being in any of the match day squads for the last few games.

Predicted Hearts team: Gordon, Smith, Halkett, Souttar, Logan, Halliday, Haring, McEneff, Mackay-Steven, Boyce, Gnanduillet.
