Hearts legend John Robertson has revealed he will release an autobiography next month.
The Tynecastle hero admitted it had been difficult to keep things under wraps over the last couple of months but is excited to finally get the book out.
The 57 year old’s book will be called ‘Robbo - The Game’s Not Over Till the Fat Striker Scores’ and will be released in October.
He’ll then appear at two events at Tynecastle and the Royal British Legion in Prestonpans to sign copies.
In a statement thanking fans for their support, he said: "After months and months of trying to keep this quiet, I’m delighted to announce my Autobiography “ROBBO - The Game’s Not Over Till The Fat Striker Scores” will be out in October.
"I’ll be appearing at two events to launch my book, at @tynecastlepark on Friday 5th November and then the Royal British Legion in Prestonpans on Friday 3rd December where signed copies will be available. Tickets for both events are now on available via @thelongestforty’s website www.thelongestforty.com.
"The book is also available for pre order now from Black and White publishing.
"Thank you to everyone who has followed me since I joined Instagram last week, and for all the nice messages. I look forward to being amongst @heartofmidlothianfc fans again very soon discussing all my favourite goals and memories."
Robertson spent 17 years at Hearts over his two spells as a player, with a short time in Newcastle separating them.
He also managed the club for a season in 2004/05 and is currently director of football at Inverness Caley Thistle after four years as manager.
