Hearts' five crucial pre-split fixtures and who their relegation rivals are scheduled to play

Hearts shifted themselves off the foot of the Scottish Premiership with an excellent win over Hibs at Easter Road.

However Daniel Stendel was keen to point out afterwards that they still have ten massive league matches to play before the end of the campaign – and those will ultimately decide whether his side survive in the division.

The Tynecastle club currently sit in 11th place, one point ahead of bottom club Hamilton who take on Rangers at Ibrox on Wednesday night.

St Mirren are three points ahead of the Jambos on 25, while Ross County could still be sucked back into bother on 29 points, so we thought we'd look at who the four sides will face before the league splits in two next month.

Hearts

Daniel Stendel's side look to have some tricky fixtures on the horizon – away trips to Aberdeen and Livingston – but also some very winnable matches against Ross County and rivals St Mirren. Their fixtures are as follows:

March 7: Motherwell (H)

March 11: St Mirren (A)

March 15: Livingston (A)

March 21: Ross County (H)

April 3: Aberdeen (A)

Hamilton

Brian Rice's team face a trip to Rangers followed by potentially hazardous matches away to Ross County and St Johnstone in the next month. Their fixtures are as follows:

March 4: Rangers (A)

March 7: Kilmarnock (H)

March 14: Ross County (A)

March 21: Hibs (H)

April 4: St Johnstone (A)

St Mirren

Jim Goodwin and his side have impressed at times this season, but still find themselves with a real battle on their hands towards the bottom of the table. They've got some tough looking fixtures coming up, but have one more to play than the other sides.

March 4: St Johnstone (H)

March 7: Celtic (A)

March 11: Hearts (H)

March 14: Kilmarnock (A)

March 22: Rangers (H)

April 4: Ross County (A)

Ross County

Ross County face some massive matches in the next five – with fixtures against Hearts, Hamilton and St Mirren all scheduled for the coming weeks. They have a bit of a points cushion on their rivals, but should results go against them in those games they could easily find themselves dragged down into real bother.

March 4: Motherwell (A)

March 8: Rangers (H)

March 14: Hamilton (H)

March 21: Hearts (A)

April 4: St Mirren (H)
