Hearts confirm Premier Sports Cup allocation as fans prepare for Tynecastle return

Hearts will have 2000 supporters inside Tynecastle for their Premier Sports Cup clash against Cove Rangers next week.

It will be the first time since March 2020 that supporters have been back inside the ground but it will still leave a large number waiting on the outside.

Just 2000 supporters are allowed inside the ground despite there being 16,000 inside BT Murrayfield for the British and Irish Lions game with the stadia close to each other.

But Hearts will now decide how they will allocate the tickets to supporters as they look to do the best they can for season ticket holders.

A short statement from the club said: "We are pleased to confirm that we have been granted permission to welcome 2,000 supporters to Tynecastle for Tuesday's Premier Sports Cup tie vs Cove Rangers.

"We are working through the ballot as fast as we can and will be in touch with successful applicants shortly."

Robbie Neilson's men will begin their Premier Sports Cup campaign when they take on Peterhead on Saturday before the game against Cove Rangers on Tuesday night.

They’ll then have match day three off before facing Stirling Albion and finishing against Inverness Caley Thistle on Sunday, July 25.
