Heart and Hand's David Edgar has been involved in a live debate about fan media after a fellow podcaster's questions to Russell Martin were highlighted last week.
The Rangers manager had an exchange with Four Lads Had A Dream after the team had lost to Hearts. The questions included a suggestion that the players "don't look coached" and Martin was told in no uncertain terms that supporters wanted him out.
It has led to some criticism of fan media and a suggestion they shouldn't be allowed in press conferences, while there has been plenty on the other side of the fence feeling there is a place for them.
Much of that debate took place on talkSPORT and Edgar was invited onto Jim White's show today to give his views.
Asked if he is able to be objective, he said: "You have to try very hard to keep your calm. But remember, Jim, we're not objective. And the thing is that we admit to an agenda. I think all media has an agenda of some sort, but the difference with fan media is that we will say, look, we are Rangers supporters and we want Rangers to win. And you know that going in.
"I think we can be objective though, because we don't indulge in hagiography. We don't sit there and say everything is great, everything is wonderful with this club.
"I don't like the term fan media, I would prefer club specific media. The reason for that is that I think people think of fan media as things like someone having a performative rant into a camera, shouting and bawling and filming it and putting it out. And that's not what we do.
"We try to be objective about Rangers. If they play badly, we will say that they played badly. If they play well, we will say that they played very well. At the end of the season, we want to see Rangers be successful. But we don't do the thing of, as I say, shouting at a camera and exploding, because that's not for your supporters them.
"And as you know in Glasgow, Jim, if we were to annoy Rangers fans, we couldn't go to Ibrox, go to the south. And I'm a match-going fan. If I'm not in the press room, I'll be in the home end."
White's next point was that suggesting the team didn't look coached maybe wasn't the best idea when they need to keep the manager on side.

"Yeah, I understand that" replied Edgar. I think 'we don't look coached' is just another way of saying that we look disorganised. I think it is just a terminology thing. We were disorganised, dysfunctional. It was 2-0 at Hearts, it could have been several more.
"So I think that the other thing is that if if someone from fan media is saying that, that's what the supporters are saying. And it gives the manager a chance to address that directly as opposed to maybe putting it in this sort of modern coaching language."
Heart and Hand has been a popular podcast for around 15 years and has grown exponentially in that time. But you can't please everyone and he revealed he often gets told what he should be doing.
"Oh, I get told what I need to see at press conferences. But, look, all the viewpoints are are valid and equally, there is a place for the traditional media, of course, there is. What we are doing is is adding another option.
"We wouldn't exist if people were 100 per cent happy with what was being served in the traditional media. That's why the space exists for us to go in and do what we do. In terms of in a press conference what you're trying to get to, generally speaking, believe it or not, we will try and stick to football.
"We will try not ask questions about off-field things or what not. We we'll try because I think a lot of football fans enjoy the 'why did you play that player ahead of this player?'"
Asked if listeners tend to want objectivity or more of a pro-Rangers agenda, he added: "I I think they understand that everything I say is honest because, if I lie, I'll get caught out. I'm not clever enough to remember it.
"So, everything I say is honest, but they know that that means I'm a Rangers fan, I want Rangers to win. But if I say something along the lines of 'the team isn't playing well', it's because the team hasn't been playing well.
"I tend to reflect what supporters are thinking because I am one. I don't need to try. My view will generally be the one that most supporters have. But you'll always have disagreements in a big supports. Rangers are a massive support and some people will think you're doing something right, some people will think you aren't, but there are options to have."
