Health Secretary Matt Hancock tests positive for Coronavirus

Health Secretary Matt Hancock has confirmed he too has tested positive for Coronavirus.

It comes just hours after Prime Minister Boris Johnson revealed he had the virus.

Posting a video to Twitter, Mr Hancock said: "Following medical advice, I was advised to test for #Coronavirus. I‘ve tested positive. Thankfully my symptoms are mild and I’m working from home & self-isolating. Vital we follow the advice to protect our NHS & save lives."

He also shared a short video and said his symptoms have been so far 'very mild' and said he would 'carry on' driving forward the UK response to Covid-19.

Mr Hancock also praised everyone for taking part in the 'Clap for Carers' event last night.
