'He's one of us!' - Arsenal fans spot what Bukayo Saka has done to Harry Kane

Arsenal fans have been given another reason to praise Bukayo Saka.

The 19-year-old played his first competitive game for England in the 2-0 defeat to Belgium in the Nations League on Sunday.

The teenager, who replaced Ben Chilwell in the 38th minute after the Chelsea defender suffered a back injury, was praised for his mature performance by England boss Gareth Southgate.

Saka gave an encouraging account of himself at left wing-back, creating the joint-most chances of any player on the pitch and linking up well with his teammates.

Gareth Southgate on 'excellent' Bukayo Saka.

"There were several players who it’s the very early stages of their international careers, who were excellent," Southgate said. "Jack [Grealish] is the obvious one, his performance was outstanding, but I also thought Bukayo as well.

"Coming into a game like that as a very young player, against an experienced player like [Thomas] Meunier.

"He had an excellent game on the left when he came into it."

And countryman Jack Grealish also lauded Saka's performance in Leuven, commenting on Instagram: "What a player".

After the game, Saka took to Twitter to express his disappointment at the defeat but his glee at playing for his country, after playing in friendlies against Wales and the Republic of Ireland.

"Didn’t go the way we wanted it to last night but lots of positives to take from the game!" he wrote.

"On a personal note, I’m very happy to play my first competitive game for England which I hope is the first of many more to come."

But some eagle-eyed Arsenal fans on Reddit have noticed that the photo Saka posted has been edited, so Tottenham striker Harry Kane no longer is in shot.

Carterxix posted: "Grealish heaping on praise on his Instagram post too, can only dream."

Lrn2 commented: "Or you know, he might have done it so that he doesn't get hate for including Kane in the photo from the cesspool that is Twitter, just a thought."

Saka has played 11 times in all competitions for Arsenal this term.

He got his first goal of the campaign in the 2-1 home win over Sheffield United in October.
