U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has had a reputation for being quite the controversial figure throughout his career. Time and again, he has shown that he tends to side with the perpetrators when a crime is commited, and this time is no different.
In a recently resurfaced video from 2024 that has been making the rounds on social media, including X (formerly Twitter), RFK Jr. is seen downplaying the significance of his acquaintance with disgraced financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. In the video, possibly taken from a podcast interview, he casually points out how common it is for someone in his position to encounter people like Epstein, saying:
“So and I run into everybody in New York. I mean, I knew Harvey Weinstein, I knew Roger Ailes, I knew — O.J. Simpson came to my house. Bill Cosby came to my house.”
Another clip from the same video has also been doing the rounds on social media and features RFK Jr. making more questionable remarks, this time regarding Ghislaine Maxwell, who is currently serving a 20-year sentence for helping Epstein abuse minors. He described Maxwell as being “kind’ noting that she was “always wonderful” to him.
While RFK Jr. seemed confident in his views about Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, people who watched the videos did not feel to good about it. Naturally, who would be, except for apologists like him and a few of his MAGA pals? The comments section reflected this sentiment well, with many users expressing their disdain. One person said, “and he’s bragging about this? Sick” while another exclaimed, “You can tell who someone truly is by the company they keep. Robert Kennedy is a real creep.”
Before anyone is shocked by RFK Jr.’s comments, keep in mind this is the same individual who claimed that Tylenol causes autism, denied that HIV causes AIDS, and is a Trump supporter, which really says a lot about his intellect and moral compass.
