'He's a horrible wrong'un' - Liverpool fan Paddy Pimblett reveals why he wants to fight Manchester City star

Paddy 'The Baddy' Pimblett has revealed that he would like to fight Manchester City's Bernardo Silva, with the UFC star describing the Portuguese international as a 'horrible wrong'un.

Pimblett, 27, fights against Jared Gordon this weekend at UFC 282 hoping to take steps towards a fight against a top-15 ranked lightweight opponent. He will be co-main event for the first time ever at the event which will take placee in front of a capacity crowd in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

Pimblett is unbeaten in his first three UFC appearances and will be hoping to extend that record on Saturday. However, he has also set his sights on an altogether different opponent, calling out Manchester City's Bernardo Silva for a fight having previously singled out Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes.

He made the revelations when speaking to Ray Parlour and Alan Brazil on their Pub Talk YouTube show, admitting that Silva was a 'proper baller' while revealing that he still bears a grudge against the star following his refusal to applaud Liverpool during their Premier League guard of honour in 2020.

Talking about who he wanted to single out for a fight, die-hard Liverpool fan Pinblett said: “Last season, when he first got signed, it was Bruno Fernandes, ’cause of how overrated he was.

“But now, it’s Bernardo Silva, lad. I don’t know anyone who likes Bernardo Silva, lad." He added. “He’s an unbelievable footballer. He’s a proper baller. But he’s a horrible wrong’un. He’s a piece of s**t.

“That time when they gave us [Liverpool] a guard of honour, and he just stood there. Come on lad.”
