Hayes crash: Boy, 4, dies after being hit by car in west London

A four-year-old boy has died after being hit by a car in west London.

Emergency services, including an air ambulance, rushed to the scene of the crash in Uxbridge Road, Hayes, just before 7pm on Sunday.

The child was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to a central London hospital.

Medical professionals battled to save him but the boy died in the early hours of Monday.

His family are aware, police said.

The car driver stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.

No arrests have been made.

Investigations into the circumstances remain ongoing and police are appealing for witnesses.
