Harvey Barnes looking to learn from Man City's Raheem Sterling on England duty

Leicester City winger Harvey Barnes is looking to learn from Manchester City's Raheem Sterling during the international break as he's set for his England debut.

The 22-year-old was called up to the England squad for the first time this week and is looking to make his debut in the clash against Wales on Wednesday.

Barnes is looking to make an impact as he continues his development and has revealed he is looking to emulate City ace Sterling following his tremendous form in recent seasons.

The ex-Liverpool man has hit over 20 goals in each of the last three campaigns and Barnes, who is looking to add more goals to his game, is keen to learn from his compatriot.

“You look at how he has progressed as a player, not just with club but on the international stage, it’s certainly something I’m looking at,” he told the Evening Standard.

“I want to try and improve and add as much of that to my game as I can. With the goalscoring, as an attacker - especially a wide attacking player - it is important to be creating as many chances and many goals as you can in games.

“Raheem has added that and he is one of the best in the game at it now so for me it’s something I’m looking to improve and keep working on.”
